The First Quarter

* The First Quarter marks the first check point in my manifestations *


~ Week two of the cycle includes ~

1* Expand it
2* Address resistance and any negative feelings
3* Joy Quest
4* Affirm and Replace


1* Expand it *

Take just 10 minutes today and expand your intention. Make it more… real. There are a few different ways you can do this.

** You can script it.

Scripting is when you sit down and write out a scenario in which your intention is fulfilled. Write it out like a story. Or write it out as though you are relaying some recent past events to a friend in a letter.

You can write it out any way you want to, so long as you are seeing your wish fulfilled in the story.

** You can play, “Wouldn’t it be Awesome if…?”

To play this feel good, expansive game, you sit down with your pen and paper or at your keys and think of your intention. At the top of your paper write the above sentence. Then start listing ways in which you could manifest what you want, or anything else pertaining to it’s fulfillment that would be “awesome.”

2* Address resistance and any negative feelings *

Over the past week since setting your intention, you may have noticed some negative self talk. You may have noticed some negative feelings around what you intended.

Maybe you’re having a hard time believing that everything will work out and manifest. Maybe you just don’t see a way it could happen and you keep thinking of all the reasons it WON’T manifest.

This is a wonderful time in the process to address these thoughts and feelings.

These are also things that can be addressed in an expansion exercise. Take your negative thought and do one of the above exercises to bring up your emotional state regarding it.

3* Joy Quest *

Keep up with that weekly Joy Quest. It doesn’t have to even be the same thing every week. Anything that you can immerse your attention into and relax and ENJOY for an hour or so is PERFECT! Not a movie or anything else LIKE that. Those are actually mindless activities. We’re not looking for mindless. We’re looking for focused and happy.

4* Affirm and Replace *

At this point you’ve been using your affirmations, afformations, and replacement phrase for a week. How does it feel to you? Do the words still feel good? Do they roll of your tongue and give you pleasure to speak them?

If not, change them up some. Sometimes we only need to move around a word or two and we get a completely different energy. Find the energy that feels good in the words you affirm because that is the energy from which you will manifest.

Happy New Moon to everyone!

~ Week one of the cycle includes ~

1* Setting an intention
2* Creating a replacement phrase.
3* Affirmation/Afformation
4* Joy Quest


1* Setting an Intention *

It’s a time to think about goals and intentions.
I make a short list of what I’d like to manifest. I usually end up with maybe 3 or 4 items.
I then consider where I currently am in relation to where my list items are and decide upon one for the cycle.

There’s usually an obvious direction I’m being directed toward and going with the obvious direction (if there is one) and manifesting with that in mind makes things go much smoother. All of life has an ebb and flow. You need to contemplate yours. The more you can observe and stay within your natural rhythm, the easier life is to consciously manifest.

2* Creating a Replacement Phrase *

Now that I’ve contemplated my current position and chosen a direction in which to manifest, I create a replacement phrase.

A replacement phrase is exactly what it sounds like. A phrase meant to replace.

Often we cancel out our own intentions every time our minds wander in their direction. We become filled with doubts or worries or worse, we try to figure out how to make things fit together.

I used to struggle here because I would try to stop thinking whatever I was thinking. That’s what I was told to do. Don’t focus on the unwanted. That can be nearly impossible to do though. If something is important to you, it’s hard to let it go.

A replacement phrase is designed to help you let it go. It’s a concept that I thought up while trying to replace a negative thought I was having at the time. I said, “I need help letting go, God. Help me let go…” and I thought of this.

What are some knee jerk thoughts or worries you have about the non-fulfillment of your intention? You have to have some or you would’ve already manifested what you seek.

You create a phrase that gives you permission to let it go and serves to remind you in the future.

For example, money.
I want to manifest a million dollars but I just can’t see how it can happen. I shouldn’t even try for a million. I’d appreciate just $10 right now. I’m barely getting by as it is right now. If something good doesn’t happen soon, I’m going to be completely swallowed by all this debt.

Replacement Phrase;
Thank God that’s already being taken care of, and all I have to do is watch for all the synchronicities.

When I say a replacement phrase, I *DO* take a moment to take a deep breath and be present in the Now and really RELEASE the thoughts when I say the phrase. Then, and this is the important part, I go focus on something else. I do something I enjoy, that makes me feel good.

Reading a book is good because you have a very singular focus as you read. I like reading, exercising, cleaning, writing… anything that makes me feel good and requires my focus so I’m only thinking about what I’m doing, and not daydreaming my worries into my reality.

The coolest thing about a replacement phrase is that often they can interchange with most intentions and when you use them and let go, then turn your focus elsewhere, you’re training your mind to do this every time you repeat your phrase. It becomes a trigger to automatically let go. Then in turn, letting go becomes easier and easier… not only easier to let go each time through THIS manifestation… but easier overall and in the future to ease into that relaxed space.

3* Affirmation/Afformation

An affirmation affirms what you want. It reprograms your mind to expect your newly intended results. I don’t usually make up new ones to suit each intention, but I do have a few that cover most everything and I like to recite them to myself as I go about my day.

* I am so blessed to have so much love and abundance in my life.
* I am so very grateful for _____.
* My life is so beautifully magical.

You get the idea. They’re just phrases stating what I love to see, have, feel, etc… I just affirm my love for life.

An afformation is basically a backward affirmation in the form of a question.

* Why am I so blessed with so much love and abundance in my life?!
* I wonder how many things I get to feel grateful for today?!
* How could my life ever be MORE beautifully magical!?

Just like with the affirmations, I have a few afformations I like to use that go with most anything. They work well with replacement phrases too.

4* Joy Quest *

Going on a joy quest has become essential to my manifesting. Happy thing will never manifest faster for you than when YOU are happy. And it seems to me, almost like a cup. Every minute you spend relaxed and happy makes drops of love fall into your cup until finally you’ve released your resistance and your cup overflows and you suddenly realize you’re looking right in the face of your manifestation.

Getting happy is the key.

I do SOMETHING! Usually once a week. Something new. Something fun. Something that makes me feel good. I started taking piano lessons on a Joy Quest. I started gardening this spring on a Joy Quest. I went to see Eat, Pray, Love at the movie theater, during the day, BY MYSELF on a Joy Quest.

It doesn’t have to be a huge thing, but pick a day and plan a Joy Quest. You have to stop and let God know how much you already LOVE your freedoms and creations, and there’s no better way to do that than by ENJOYING LIFE!


That pretty much sums up the New Moon. Don’t forget to watch for those signs and synchronicities. Watch out for that Alpha reflection too. It’s your sign that you’ve been heard. And should you see an Omega reflection before we meet again, don’t worry.

Recognize it as what it is and use your replacement phrase. That’s what it’s for!

Tonight at 11pm EDT there will be a group Intention Setting Meditation open to anyone who would like to join in. There’s nowhere to sign up. Simply bring your intention for the cycle to a quiet place and relax into meditation with the intention of connecting to the group energy. As you intend it, so it shall be.

Group meditations only officially last for 15 minutes, but many people meditate beyond that so reach out and be part of the group as long as you wish. And if you’re a little late, it’s all good :) Intention is all that you need.

A Waning Reminder

Just a note to remind you that the moon is waning right now.  We are rounding out this cycle and will begin again on the New Moon, Sunday December 5th, 2010 @ 12:36pm EST.

There will be a New Moon Intention Setting Group Meditation at 11am and 11pm EST on Sunday the 5th.



Take a moment today and make a mental list of everything you appreciate in your life.  And when I say everything, I mean every single thing that comes to mind.  Not just the people that make you shine.  Everything.  From the shoes on your feet to the roof above your head to the taste of your favorite food and the smell of your favorite flower.

It doesn’t have to take long.  One minute is plenty.  Give it your full attention.  Don’t get dragged off in any direction by thoughts and opinions about the thing which you are listing off.  Simply alight your adoring attention on each thing momentarily and then move onto the next mental subject of your heart felt appreciation.

The Full Moon

*The Full Moon marks the time of greatest power*

You’ve had your eye on the prize.  You’ve noticed where there might be resistance and you’ve replaced those thoughts with new, and better thoughts.  Now it’s time to bring it all together.

I spend some time on the Full Moon making a list of everything I can think of that’s happened over the past two weeks in a synchronistic way.  All the signs I’ve seen and any people I’ve met.

This exercise helps you rev up your energy.  It puts you in a vibe of  “Look at all the ways things are already manifesting,” which will only make things manifest faster and bigger.

I also spend the entire day in gratitude as much as possible.  I take time to think about what I love in my life.  I take time to dance through the house listening to my favorite music.  I take time to pet my dogs and cats and tickle my kids.  I just focus on everything I LOVE and appreciate.

I host a Full Moon Group Abundance Meditation at 11am and 11 pm EST on every full moon and you are extended an open invitation to join us.
